Say Yes to the Dress!

Join us for a one day only wedding event!
We will be opening our vault to bring out a huge selection of gorgeous wedding gowns, shoes, and accessories at great prices.
This very special event will take place on Sunday June 7, 2026.
There will be special store hours just for this exciting event: 10am – 6pm.
Choose from approximately 50 wedding dresses for $200 or less, with most wedding gowns under $100.

Join us for Carrboro Earth Day to celebrate sustainability, growth, and new beginnings!
Stop by the Extraordinary Thrift Store between 12 – 6pm to see our newly planted gardens. The first 100 customers will receive a free packet of seeds!
Thrifting is a great way to commit to a more sustainable way of life. When you donate goods to the Extraordinary Thrift Store, they get reused instead of thrown into the landfill. And when you shop with us, you give new life to recycled items and choose to reuse quality clothing instead of participating in low quality “fast fashion” that is destined to be discarded by the next season. And thrifting is fun!
Ribbon Cutting and Open House

Join us for a ribbon cutting and open house celebrating the launch of the Extraordinary Thrift Store! Stop by between 3:00 and 5:00 pm to enjoy light refreshments and explore the completely refreshed and refurbished space.
The official ribbon cutting will take place at 4:00 pm.
The Extraordinary Thrift Store is the newest venture of Chapel Hill–based nonprofit Extraordinary Ventures and marks an exciting expansion into the heart of Carrboro. For nearly 20 years, Extraordinary Ventures has built self-sustaining small businesses with a focus on creating meaningful jobs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism.
The opening of the Extraordinary Thrift Store preserves a longtime community resource while bringing renewed energy, improved accessibility, and expanded inclusive employment opportunities to Carrboro. We can’t wait to welcome you to shop with us!
